Product care

Alabaster is composed of bi-hydrated calcium sulphate and it has a hardness between 2,2 and 2,5 on the Mohs scale. Being a delicate and relatively soft and porous stone, it should not be kept in direct contact with adverse atmospheric conditions, nor too close to sources of heat.

Our products are treated with oil and wax, they should be dusted lightly with a slightly damp, soft brush or cloth then left to dry naturally. They can then be polished using a neutral oil which should be applied with a brush. Once the oil has been absorbed, any excess can be removed with a soft cloth.
